Building my Coupe
powerbench
Posted on: 2018/1/11 6:31
Well I bought this car a couple of years ago. When I picked the car up I though it was a bit better than it was . When I got home I found a few problems that were going to stall my building of it, to say the least I was a bit bummed. I lucked into a stash of parts and a bit of time and save a bit of money so I got cracking.
These pics are of when I bought the car. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

When I got home ,I tucked the car in my brother inlaws race trailer and kinda left it there. When I got to starting on the car I discovered the car had been hit in the front end. I tried to figure out what direction I was going to go .It turned out I would have to hold off a bit to find the parts and save more money, but found a usable front clip .I found a guy to put the clip on( I just didn't have the place to do it )
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I had them sand blast , and clip the front end at the shock towers. They gave it a quick primer and shot of paint to clean it up .Then it came back to me for the rest of the body work. When it was there they found some more damage, and I had to decide( tried to pay my way out of it ...but it was more than I could bare to pay ...and I figured what the hell,Ill do it myself.) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

When i got the car back to the house , my brother inlaw let me keep it there in his shop.....I figured he's letting me use his shop I'm gonna try and get as much done as I can.Like I said I saved and got lucky with a stash of parts....nos fenders and apron and some other stuff as well as buying all new suspension parts and brakes.
Then I got on fixing 2 sections of floor that had super minor rust .... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Stripped the roof and quarters.....I found the damage they were talking about ...shi I ran into crappy weather ( I was waiting on a part car for most of that summer that never happened)
I ran into the fall weather ...It flash rusted the one quarter I started , i put it away for the fall ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I stripped and checked the rear valence for rust....thank god , i din't find any ...just a little filler needed..I also did the trunk as well ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Then I found this nightmare...It looked small until I started digging in ![]() ![]()
