Hi Dale, welcome to the club. California is the best place to find 1200s, i bought both of mine there

Search craigslist (using google search) and also ebay. They are on there about once a month

The 4-door sedan is unobtanium. They were never sold in USA, although I know of one brought up from South America about five years ago. The 2-door sedan is the one available in USA

This was mine purchased out of Concord, California circa 2006, it was originally sold by Manteca Datsun

I appreciate the help...I will keep searching. Had one just out of high school in the '70s and was the best car I ever owned...

search using google

craigslist datsun 1200
This searches nationwide, it doesn't find them all but finds some. found several coupes today. Many ads for 1200s only last one day they sell fast

eBay search ALL Categories. Sometime people list whole cars under parts or "datsun other"

maybe add Deluxe (for sedan) to narrow it down. Can also search for B110 or LB110

Thanks for the heads up...would have never imagined the would be so hard to find or so expensive.

yeah it takes time

In a sense not hard to find -- as I find some 1200s for sale every day, and sedans every month. Remember they were a medium sales volume and it occurred 47 years ago, so it's amazing there are any around at all anymore. Try to find a specific american car from 1972 and it's the same situation, other than the very most popular they are "hard to find" a specific 3-year range

And expensive? Not really. 1200s sell for under $1000 regularly. All those craigslist ads "no longer available" that you never see the price. What stays up a while are the $4000+ advertisements, I dare say most of which never sell at that price

When I bought mine last sedan in 2005 I looked for 2 years, I passed up many inexpensive 1200s. Then found mine in California. Flew down and drove it back. I paid $2300 it was complete and in good "used car" shape. It made the 650 mile trip no worries

Perhaps, but the 1200 was not sold new in Mexico. I can only think of one in this club

They sold the 1600 with solid axle, and later the B13 was perhaps the most popular (name Tsuru in mexico). It sold from 1992 to 2017
