I have an A12 for sale. Block number 174994E. The condition is unknown. I found it while helping a family friend clean out her late husband's shed/workshop. He was a mechanic who ran a small machine shop in his later years. It looks like the motor was being set up to run a generator or water pump. I really do not know unfortunately. I couldn't see any signs of how he was going to cool the motor, so I don't imagine he had it running as he wanted before passing away. It was stored outside, but under cover. The motor is bolted to a custom support frame that sits freely on a dolly. Both support frame and dolly will go with the motor. Handy to push it around the workshop for the next few years until you find a use for it!

Air cleaner housing and distributor cap are missing, but otherwise seems complete.

Full disclosure, I am just passing motor on for the widow. I thought I'd firstly show it to the Datsun forum which has been so handy for me over the years. It's not currently advertised anywhere else.

I am in Woodend, Victoria, Australia.

Price is a tough one. I'm really just trying to get a few dollars for the widow. So please make an offer. I'm thinking a couple of hundred or so. It's negotiable. Hoping for a quick-ish sale, but it will depend on interest. Happy to PM photos if you like.

Nice. Looks like an early B210 unit, 1974-1975-1976 perhaps

* Any idea what the device with pulley on the left side of the engine is? A small compressor of some sort?

* Whoever want to buy this, bring a battery and a compression tester and can quickly determine if it's a rebuild core, or a good-condition engine that can be used immediately

Good question re the device with the pulley dd. I still have no idea. I mistakenly thought is was an A/C compressor at first, but mainly because I can't think what else it could be. It might go some of the way to explaining why the previous owner had it. I know he didn't have electricity running to his workshop (he lived on a rural property) so it could be something to do with his machine shop equipment.

The motor has actually now been sold. Just locally through word of mouth in the end. Can I cancel the ad somehow? My first time advertising on the forum.
