bearings gave up today

hi guys thanks for imput for 1200 mods, but today my motor let up. lost power and made one hell of noise, turns out 2 main bearings and 1 bigend gave. atleast i can do mods now with my motor open. i'll keep you posted.

I would look at your oil pump condition while yo have it apart.

sorry to hear the engine gave up. I hope it will live again. Maybe a little transplant surgery will bring it back to health, or just replace the oil pump and bearings. The key is figuring out what caused the problem.

turns out number four conrod cap came loose, causing havok. crank looks a bit stuffed, hope the machine shop can fix it.
what else should i do while the motor is stripped? many thanks nicholas south africa
