Doesn't need it. My dream datto is a quick street car, not a full on drag car and I've seen 13B's running in the 8's. Thats plenty for a street car me thinks.

And 13B's sound better

Ok here goes..........SR20 naturaly aspirated, quad 52mm throttle bodies, motec ems, forged pistons, dry sump etc etc........redline in the nines........all this matched up with hollinger 6 speed sequential. basically engineering based on BTCC race cars.

i would rather "no boost", N/A all the way.....what benny said "SR20 naturaly aspirated, quad 52mm throttle bodies, motec ems, forged pistons, dry sump etc etc........redline in the nines........all this matched up with hollinger 6 speed sequential."

sounds good to me

Benny i like it and even more so i like the 6 speed sequential box idea.......

My Dream is to drive a car with a sequential box real hard (gives me a hard on just thinking about it)

Datsun 1200 (of course) with QR25DE naturally aspirated and six-speed trans. This engine is lighter than the SR20 and is 25% larger.

(perhaps adapting the 350Z trans?)

Benny and B120, I like it...
Turbos are for hairdressers, anyone can make a 1/2 arsed hairdryer setup get from traffic light to traffic light quickly..

If you really want to compare engineering abilities, build a NA motor, and put it in a decent chassis.

I'm not an SR20 fan, they're a mass produced emissions motor and while I'm not saying that people havent made them work well, take a CA or a BDA (FJ's are in the same category but face facts timbo, they're too damn heavy), jam it under the dash somewhere, surround it with a wishbone front, a 4 link rear and sequential box in an incredibly stiff 600kg shell with probably only 15x8 rims and you're starting to get what I wake up at midnight thinking about....

(This is not what I tell the wife when she wakes up and says ' whats that poking in my back')

hic, back to work now....

there is a thought, i wonder how long it is going to be before we are able to get our grubby little hands on a 350Z box ???
