I haven't seen any with carpet in them. Sedans are different from the others. They came with:
- a rubber mat covering the floor - a 1/4 inch thick "wall" board hiding the fuel tank - a 1/4 inch board covering the spare tire (under the mat) I'll have to get pictures of mine with the original equipment -- once I get the engine out of the boot.

Get the engine out of the boot?
Did you buy a VW or did you get a spare. I'm thinking of having the "boards" made out of aluminum or something similar. They'd hold up better. I can make a template(s) off mine, but they are a little water warped. Anyone suggest a way to straighten them out??? Put them flat & steam 'em??? Use an iron???

In my old coupe I made a floor in the boot out of MDF. It had a rectangular peice running the width of the car behind the rear seat, I hinged a large piece of MDF off that which allowed access to the spare, worked a treat just needed carpeting.

Hi no
Get a couple of straight, thick pieces of timber and some wood clamps. Clamp the warped timber between the straight ones for a few days and it should be apples. Matty
