1200 sedan power problem

Hi all, just wonderin, my 1200 is having a rough driving porblem, seems like not firing properly, I have been back to my mechanic numerous times and they have tuned it, changed spark plugs twice and cleaned contacts on the balast resistor (is that how its spelt?) and it has gone well for a couple of days then died again.
It runs, just badly, and now the battery is gone flat (four push starts already...) could i just need a new battery or is there a common problem that i am not aware of? I can't handle chugging along like a grandma any longer... any info much appreciated, thanks!

I agree with team dat, check your alternator for the battery problem and carbie or the pionts for the rough running, my points where continually fowling up when my 1200 was on the road. If none of the above works then you may have busted a valve.
