Hey guys,
just purchased the 1200 coupe that was for sale on ebay a couple of weeks ago. What a treasure!! it has the original handbook (NEW) and the service records book to suit. Both are still in their original plastic folder too !! Dash fascia and pad are MINT and the original radio is still in place. All the lettering and colours on the heater controls are great etc etc. Even the windscreen washer bottle is still the original bag and still works !! I originally thought it might be good for parts but once I got to Melbourne and saw it in the flesh I just can't pull it apart...... I will have to restore it methinks !! Must be getting old hey !! Anyway, just had to let you know that you never know, sometimes you can fall across a gem of a car so keep searching .... and keep the (Datto) dream alive !!!!!!!!! Cheers

It certainly looked like a good buy. I even looked into freight to WA because I was interested. But I decided to spend the cash on my current 1200.
Good to hear it went to someone pashionate about the 1200.

Yep, cost $550 at the end of the day. I will post some pics over the weekend of the best bits. The car has an old tyre pump ( in the shape of a capital I ) that the owner claimed came with the car. Could this be true?? I have 3 hubcaps of varying condition and would like to source more. If anyone knows of any please let me know. Is the parcel shelf under the glovebox common ? I haven't seen one before but I suppose they all had one when new ? Keep U all posted,
Cheers Edit. Have posted a couple of photos now so check it out ........ Cheers

It wasn't Nick Camplins?
$600...I hope not. It was a nice car. Welcome to the club mate. If you smash it, we'll all be quite unimpressed. If you don't, then we'll like you a lot more.

My mum 1200 wagon and my 1200 coupe both had those parcel shelves under the glovebox, I removed it from my coupe though, passengers kept on kicking it and there was more space once I removed it anyway..
I never liked em...

I sure hope Nick doesn't sell his coupe for $600. The new owner for that one should be invested to help ensure the car stays original.
