CA18DET gearbox bolts

Hey guys im putting my motor and gearbox in this weekend and have no gearbox bolts
if anyone has spares in sydney or can measure there bolt and tell me the sizes i can buy them from the local boltmaster Shop. any help would be great cheers guys

They are just some bigass 10mm bolts, not high tensile. Actually they might be 8mm bolts, but definitely metric 8mm or 10mm.
Get a rule and measure the depth of the gearbox holes. Then add 15-20mm for the thread into the block. There are 10 or 11 (not counting the startmotor bolts. See: CA18 Gearbox Pic from Nissan Sth Africa OR: CA18 Gearbox Picture II I've pulled enough engines and Dattos apart that I almost always find bolts "kicking around" at home. You'd get the for free from a wrecker, if you were buying something else. This is certainly the case at "pick and payless" at blacktown. Cheers. Chris

With the CA18 and Stumpy Skyline Gearbox, I used to use 1200 A-12 headbolts to hold the starter motor in.

ha thats funny i using the ca18 gearbox i have the bolts for the startermotor but i got the gearbox off a mate and it didnt come with bolts im sure il find sumthing in my piles of nuts and bolts.
