#1 a15 head info needed
Posted on: 2004/6/16 22:38
looking at my new head, its a h89, just need to know if they flow ok compared to the other a15 heads. Looking in the tech section, it says its from a b310 4 door sedan but thats it. Any other info anyone has?
It has the round combution chambers so must be best suited to low-mid rpm (or tourqe related) power which is better for me.

??? Open chambers don't have much to do with RPMs ... they are for low emissions, as quench heads spike the NOx (or something like that).

Anyways, if you are looking at the head, you can tell if it flows well:

1. Oval ports flow better than round ports
2. Unobstructed ports flow better than obstructed ones (look into the ports)
3. All A14/A15 heads have the same valve sizes

That's about all. Take some photos and post here, or at least give us all the casting numbers. What did the head come out of?
