#1 Supercharging an A12
Autokat Posted on: 2004/6/24 8:54
I want to supercharge my A12 with a supercharger off an import ,A mate of mine has done it to his auto gemini with outstanding results.
Can anyone help with some info as in what other mods should I make beforehand ???

It would pay to lower the comp slightly, unless you are going to run small boost. double, or heavy single valve srings are a must. That is the minimum mods you can get away with. To make heaos of grunt, you should really fit some big extactors, with a big exhuast to get rid of the extra spent gas. the easiest way to drop the comp is with a head saver shim . this goes between the block, and the head gasket. also, if you are having the head overhauled, it pays to not get a three angle job dodne on the valves. This is because the valves need the extra contact area to aid with the disipation of heat.

your s/c setup is a pretty neat job A14force, i would have chosen an SU over the weber though - not too much of a fan of "peek-a-boo" engine components

you'd be wise to visit A14force's photo album for a few nifty ideas.
