1200rallycar Posted on: 2004/7/5 8:25
you know the one, just above the wheel arch, they've all got it

well im not happy, one of my new guards is already doing it, is there a way to stop it?

maybe popping it out and putting tar on the back to stiffen it or something similar?

Its a leaning on dent from working on the motor.
Maybe a heavy coat of new tech might stop it from flexing.

The reason it still pops in and out is because the body line that runs down the centre of the guard - doors - quater will be out of whack from the first time it was dinted.
The best way to stop it and make it tighter is to get a bulster or something flat like a chisel ( the wider the better) and hit the bodyline out from inside the guard. It will pull the metal back into place and keep it tight.
Dont hit it so hard that the bodyline changes, all you are doing is putting it back in shape.

yeah my new guards are doing it too, it's the drivers side, and yeah it was caused from working on my motor. I can pop it out but you can see a big ripple when the light hits it on the right angle. :( not happy
