I seem to recall a brief discussion about this long ago ... I think no one had any ideas.
What about shortening the steering arms? Or converting to rack & pinion?

I Think Errol was going to make up a box with a shortened and hardened arm for a tighter ratio, but thats as far as it got. Im sure the current lock will be OK for racing.

Wouldn't you lengthen the arm? So it would move further for less steering box axle angle.
This would also change the steering, suspension geometry. I agree. Leave it the same and/or get a smaller diameter steering wheel. Modifying a 1200 box would be hard with that ball/gear thing.

all the 1200 racers up here convert to the sunny box for some reason. lighter and better response box than the 1200 one they tell me.
