Ive run into a problem people...
Just fitted new welsh plugs in my sunny n found out when taking my clutch plate n pressure plate were rusted to #### n no threds left watso ever....
Got new plates, fine, fitted all good put gearbox bak on throw over bearing is on rite way and everything looks prefectly fine (splindel lined up aswell)

BUT!!!

I tried out the clutch lever and i get a realllllllly bad grinding sound when ignition off and the thing doesnt seem to be grabbing or the lever isnt sitting right... HELP!!!!
I need some urgent advice as i have 3 days left to get this thing bak on the road!! (needs new carpet, re-jet A15 carby and much more!!)

Maybe it's the cable?

If the engine is not running when it makes this grinding sound, it can only be the pedal, the cable, or something about the clutch lever arm action.
