H165 LSD

I have been trying to get an LSD for my Datsun 1200 coupe rally car . I have recently been looking at toyota sprinter diffs "T Series" and have noticed that the early sprinter centre uses 23mm axels the same as my H165. So i tried sprinter axels with my H165 centre and H165 axels with the sprinter centre and they both fit. Has anyone tried using a sprinter diff centre and housing but with H165 axel tubes and axels.

wat about just getting the sprinter diff shortened to suit? wouldnt cost much
