a number of cars actually.

16V RWD - jap spec toyota AE86 sprinter
16V FWD - all corolla GTis.
20V FWD - toyota levin and trueno (black top and silver top - i think the silver top comes out of the levin - and one has slightly more power than the other but i can't remember which)

and what a beautiful motor they are. Partly based on the sierra cosworth motor.
Fit well into a datto with a 5 speed.

On that note what are the specs/stats/performance(s) of this motor and the S/C version, i.e in numbers?

you can find the 4agec in 85-87 RWD corolla GTS and FX16 in the US. people generally call these engines Blue top Big Ports low compression (equiped with T-Vis Blue letters on valve cover) blue tops are 1587cc they are also stock in front wheel drive AE92 corolla from 1988-1991 equiped with bluetop in earlier and Non GTS models and as for the redtops in the later models. the red top are small port high compression. red tops are stronger. from what i recall they have 7 or 5 ribs in the block. ret tops are non T-Vis with red letters on valve cover. earily blue and later red tops are both 1.6L DOHC 16 valves. 4ag also came in the 1985-1990 mr2 (AW11) and the 4agze as the supercharged version. 4age 20 valve silver tops came from the FWD JAPANESE spec corollas (AE101)160hp equiped stock with Individual throttle boddies, and black top from the 1996-2000 Japanese spec FWD corollas (AE111) the 165hp silver and black are both 20 valves with ITB's. for actual specs of these engines http://www.club4ag.com/faq%20and%20te ... hnical_specifications.htm or just check out club4ag.com in the tech refference
