I bought this Datsun this week that is supposed to be a '72 b-210. I havent recieved the Title yet and they person I bought it from recovered it from a backyard where it sat since 1990. The engine runs nice concidering, but the clutch it testy. Its a 4 door, and not a hatchback or a wagon. Which I cant find any photos of on this site or anywhere online.Some of the parts say Nissan and the insignia on the back says "Dastsun B-210 by Nissan". I thought Nissan bought Datsun in 1980? This is my second Datsun, my other was a '73 710 that was no mystery. When i have acces to a camera ill take some photos of it. Its Steel Blue in and out.
Anyone have photos like this car that can verify its age. I see no dates on the car. Thanks and sorry if I sound like a novice. I am. haha

or how about a way i can date the car myself at least, through VIN if needed ?

you should be able to get the info off the compliance plate (assuming it still has one!)

B210's (known here as a 120Y) didn't get here (Australia) until '73 as far as I know

The Datsun by Nissan stuff started in about 1978 I think.

I very much doubt it's a 1972 model.

Nissan took over Datsun in 1935
The B210 started in some countries in 1973.

the vin is plb310-34865# , I did find out that its not a b210 at all. Just a 210. Heres the pic from the ad. I live in the US...

It is likely an 82 model, they made the last ones I think in 83, then it became a Snetra.

That is the latest (last) model of Datsun 120Y... i'm driving this model.. it's 82' nissan sunny/datsun 120Y.. it has these 2 badges on the back ;)
