#1 New clutch needed
funkeyman Posted on: 2005/3/4 10:03
Hi all, Its been a while since I posted here.
I have a '72 ute with a worked A14. The big problem is clutches dont seem to last too long. Are there any good clutches out there that would last longer than the stock A14 clutch? - Brand name , part number?
Thanx,
JC

Daiken H/D clutch will hold up better.

I have an Xtreme puk brass button ceramic clutch which is about the best clutch you can get an Aseries.

It's never been on a car,but it's for an a12 flywheel I don't know if it would fit an a14.

but if it does i'am asking $300 for it.

A button clutch is great for racing but if your driving every day in trafic you might get a bit sick of it. Daikin will make a clutch to suit any application. I priced a heavy duty clutch for my a14 & it wasnt to badly priced.

Daiken R169HD - I still had an old box under the house. This is the one Teretonga is referring to - heavy duty upgrade for Vanette.

remember to have the flywheel surfaced too

Thanx guys,
Who or where do I contact about these Daiken clutches?
I think the ceramic clutch might be a bit much, it's a daily driver.

Is that clutch bigger? or is it just a higher clamping pressure?
