here is the electronic dizzy i bought from the 1980's style nissan exa. it is internally regulated but aussie post broke one of the connections on the cap...
if anyone knows a replacement one part number the dizzy part number is:
D4R85-16 5x04
22100 10M05

it even came with instuctions for wiring (including drinks break activities according to temperature of climate)

something broken on the cap ?? you can get those from repco etc, common part, just take in your one and get a new one. good idea of yours to grab the coil, its always good to have suited coil/dissy. i hit my dissy with a wire brush on a drill and it came up very shiny and newlooking shiny dissy (bottom LHS)

Be sure to get a new rotor too! I like to replace the cap and rotor at the same time, just to keep running well.
