just wondering how people have gone about getting the paint off there cars. After a day of unclogging sandpaper, i figure there must be a slightly quicker way of doing this. At the moment i am just using a random orbital with 60 grift sand paper.

if its decent, why remove it?? Just rub it back, and paint over it. The areas where panel work is required, spend more time on, but for the rest, unless its peeling (in which case a paint scraper will do the trick) it'll be fine

I'm only new to it as well, but I just use paint stripper n a good ol' plastic scraper. Chews through paint, but on the downside eats away rust repairs too, so when it's done you gotta start from scratch.

Beed blast it You can sand blast it but do that on the real bad areas but NOT on flat panel
Thats if you are doing a full resto. If you do it this way make sure who ever does it etch primes it ith a 2 pack compatable etch primer.

I'd say to use paint stripper.

i was thinking paint stripper, only problem is that i have to prime it straight after. and it wil be a #### load of paint stripper.

And we have tried using a heat gun and a scraper on my brothers car, but that left alot of uneven spots

well if you do want to use paint stripper then get sanding.
