B210 front disk

I replaced the disks and pads on my B210 but I am having huge trouble installing the outside pads. Do I have the wrong thickness rotor? It is an 8.5 mm. Do they come in 8mm as well? I have a '76 B210 made in June. I noticed that I am in the middle of a change of equipment by Datsun and I may have the wrong rotors.

I have a 76 B210 also. I have run into this problem for many parts and if you have the choice between 74-76 or 76-78 go with the later.
