Again with the carby

Once again i am having trouble with my carby after getting a pro to overhaul the carby and muck it up. I decided to have a go myself and it all went well until i got it running but the adjusting the mixtures really does very little. It will stall when you come to a stop and idles funny other than that that it runs fine on the open road?
Any ideas?

Is it worn in the throttle shaft & bushes? If so, you will never be able to fully control the mixture at idle, so have a look at that.
If the shaft flops around in the housing, then, depending on the make & model of carb, it may be easier to find a carb in better condition & use only the base as a replacement since you have already freshened up the rest of your carb.

the throtle body was working only two days earlyer on another carby it all looks as if there is no play in the throttle body.

Had same problems witha 32/36 weber on my 180b - it would idle realy bad but run fine under load - Turned out to be a vacume leak where the carby mate's the inlet manifold. New gasket fixed the problem. worth a try??
