if you have a suitable amount of cash you can have power windows and door locks without too much difficulty. Hopefully you're handy, it's not something that is coming with datsun instructions.

I have a set. It cost me nothing, just a bunch of work. I got the power motors and switches out of GM or Ford cars, and made the brackets out of thick sheet metal. Use the search box to find the photos.

Back in the 80"s before power windows were standard or an expensive option a company brought out a kit the motor replaced your winder handle and this contained the switch as well.
It was not a pretty looking option, If you want them see your local radio/alarm shop.

i've seen them on ebay, you could do it for about $150 for power windows and about the same for locks, might as well do the alarm too if you're doing all that

I remember your setup dd. It seemed pretty easy to do, junkyard parts, and it all hid in the door. But since I can easily roll both windows up/down at the same time manually, I never persued it.
Power locks + alarm is nice and convienient.

Jaycar(.com.au) used to do a kit.

I hate power windows. I had a Maxima for 2 years and in that time I had to replace 3 of the f!@#$^& window mechanisms. One of them died when an interested buyer was test driving the turd-box.

When they go kaput you can't wind up the window.

Like Ang95451 said, be thankful you can manually wind up both sides whilst sitting in the drivers seat...

TnPshow - wow your avatar looks like my car almost.

What is it with old datsun windows wanting to fall out of the track when winding up....
