4 speed in 1000

I was just wondering how easy and expensive it is to wack in a 4 speed and an A12 in to my 1000 wagon its currently 3 on the tree
 and maxes out at about 80 has anyone swapped before ?

Its easy and inexpensive, but the fourth gear wont make it go any faster as the top in your curre
nt gearbox is 1:1 same as the four speed. You need to get a 3.9:1 diff out of a 1000 or 1200 sedan (the centres are easy enough to swap) that will give you better gearing for the highway.
