Hello all, does anybody know of/if anyone sells the foam part of the dash new? i tried Nissan but they said no. I would rather get a new one than recon the one i have. any advice much appreciated.

does space invader foam dry hard like the crash pad does it? could i carve it afterwards?

$180-250 for a dash reskin at a dash restoring place...That's what I did for mine. very happy with it.
I think I paid $220..but that was 4 years ago.

If space invader is kept under pressure the bubbles are smaller and the cure product is harder.
Yes you an carve it and sand it. A lot like polystyrene (cheap esky) Oh, to keep it under pressure, wrap the section you want to fill with Plastic, or thin foam rubber and inject under it. You can manipulate the filled area by hand to get it into roughly the right shape. Have a play, it is good stuff to work with. I have used it several times for speaker pods.
