Try this link in the tech section, entitled "Cylinder head identification"
http://datsun1200.com/modules/nsections/index.php?op=viewarticle&artid=46#identification Good luck

DatsunSSS, no one knows. Help us out, tell us more about the head, what kind of ports, chambers, etc. Do you know what car and year it came from?

Can you see a number on the block (besides engine number) - My block has the number H72 embossed in it. This number can then be used to help identify the engine, which could maybe then identify the head (if it is the original one). Hmmm - I think that H72 is on my head as well though...indicating an A14 "low compression GX head"....Not a heart shaped combustion chamber.
If you could see the intake ports shape and the combustion chamber shape you would be able to ID the head I think. Hope you solve the mystery.

Ah, 1977 B210 USA model. I happen to have the factory service manual for 1977.
These engines only came with one cylinder head: - standard "oval ports" - 30mm exhaust valves - 37mm intake valves - large "open" combustion chamber It should be more or less the same as the H72 head. Unfortunately, no one seems to know what the casting numbers signify.

It's a H728 , as in factory part number 11041-H7280, used aproximatly 1976-1980 for California emmissions. If you look at the second pic. just to the left of "728" is a spot where the "H" should have been. Obviously it's not there, either the mold was disturbed or it was intentionly removed, but like I said careful examination shows where it once was and "should still be.
