galahazard Posted on: 2006/2/4 6:57
does anyone know where i can get good clutch kits from for a ca18det engine.

Im not looking to make a 6000HP engine so i only need a pressure plate which can do more than the standard pressure, say around 2000lb to 2500lb pressure.

cheers

I would say NPC Nicks Performance Clutches would be great for what your after. but thats in brisbane. I got a clutch from Jim Berry@Raceclutch. But thats a 3400lbs 5 button clutch.

Call Jim Berry at Race Clutch. The man is a legend and has forgotten more about clutches than most people will ever know. My clutch has 2125lbs of clamping pressure and requires only slightly more effort to depress than a standard clutch yet it has never slipped or played up on the street or track.

I agree, my clutch is 3400lbs clamping pressure, but the pedal still feels like a normal heavier duty street clutch to drive. Jim Berry is definately the master
