#1 Factory parts book

I've been looking for a book that would show me all of the specific parts & their #'s. Does anyone think this would work (esp the AU guys)? I have not seen one of these before. I'm waiting on a response from the seller.EBAY

The seller says that shipping to California, USA will be $55 USD + insurance! Via econ air.

Come on now, does that sound even close to possible? I've had many things shipped, but this smells like excessive handling fees. Or my Cali address tagged me as a money man. Or he's mixed up the AUD into USD?

Does anyone here have experience on shipping a fat & heavy book between AU & US? He won't give me dimensions or weight.

I am not so sure you are getting ripped off here,it is a big book.Larger than an A4 sheet, over 4 inches thick, and mine weighs about 4.4kg.....

See if he will post it surface mail ,that will make it a lot cheaper.

Yes, surface is much cheaper. But the last box took over 2 months. It was around Christmas though.

I guess I'll keep an eye out for one over here.

If he can send it surface mail, go for it!

I'd love to get a parts catalog in printed form, but they seem to be extremely rare to find in US at least. The Japanese catalogs are available every month on Yahoo Auctions, so I have one of those.

All the AU parts that are the same may use the same numbers as used in US, but all the RHD parts (wiring harness, etc) will definitely be different. The Japan and US part numbers do match for shared components like emblems and such.

Here's Australia Post. 4.5 kg Parcel to USA looks to be about $50 AUD, which is about $37 USD. Plus the seller might ask a handling fee of reasonable amount ...
