hey jus want to no the legality of engine conversions in 1000's i live in perth west oz i have a turboa15 at the mo but want more power.Is it possible for permits for ca 18 det ,fj20, z18 ?easiest conversion ? im planning on getting disks for front brakes and a hilux lsd diff shortened down. any info on such conversions greatly appriciated cheers

If this is so, then perhaps you should have a chat with the clubs resident Datsun 1000 disc brake specialist in Perth,.. Dattoman_1000, about a brake upgrade before you do anything about a substantial power upgrade.
I thought I was pushing my luck with a 1200GX in my 1000 sedan, but this time round, I bought the disc brakes first.

yeah thats first mod im doin very hairy drive with drums havnt driven it much because of that reason.
