yeah i put it together.. the master cylinder is for a datsun 1600
altogether for master, slave and new hose cost me $110

nice work! same place i put my clutch clyinder. Perfect place, was a bugger to get in, the metal is thick there so it doesnt flex.

yeah was a bastard to install. took me ages. i had to remove the brake and clutch pedals. god i wish i didnt have to. took me a good 2 hours to get back on. was so fiddly

Haha yeah i konw what you mean!.. the pipe and springs and plastic bits!!... its doesnt wanna come out very easily after 20+ years. its good there cause its all inline with the clutch pedal, so just a matter of modding the linkage. I had a look at all other options, i reckon this way was the best.

i found a photo of someone who hooked up a bracket on the inside of the dash and the master cylinder was up under the dash. then it would connected to where the cable originally was. that was my second option if the firewall option didnt turn out. woulda been a bastard to top up though

I had the conversion done
It was a dash out job and the cylinder sits on a bracket off the steering column sits it like factory and I think they used a hilux unit in mine You can view topic.
