Hey fellas,

My ute's tailgate latches are loose (where the handles latch around the hooks on the body), and the whole tailgate is rattling at ide at the lights.
I can't see any adjustment to tighten the grip on the hooks on the body - is there a trick?

It's driving me insane!!!

I'm pretty sure the holes that mount the latches are slotted.

You may have to remove the inner panel to get to them.

perhaps glue a sheet of rubber to the latch or where it attaches?

I'll peel the back plate off the tailgate tonight and check it for adjustment - I think you're on the money there...

you dont have to remove the inner tailgate panel, just loosen the two bolts (one behind the handle and one at the back of the tailgate... you'll find them) and slide the whole handle. Mine was still loose even with maximum adjustment, so i packed it out with newspaper. Rubber glued on would be just the thing!
