can any one describe to me how an a14 goes with twin webers in a 1200 ute.

I used to have an A14 with single 32/36 webber it was a bit of fun and still cheap to run,
with the 4 speed it was very good untill about 110 then it would take a while to get to top speed but its still ok

my nextdoor neighbour had an A14 with twin webbers and it went like a bat out of hell, he spent more time however paying speeding fines than he did driving his car ha ha i drove it once, she pulled pretty hard, you'll have a good car if thats the way you go

We were just talking about this in another thread, but I'd tell anybody even thinking about it to just build your A14 to run sidedraughts (and don't waste your time with a DGV or Twin Hitachis), even if it means working graveyard at the Pizza Palace or mowing the lawn for your Grammy on Saturdays to pay for them.

Ha, dual side carbs won't make an A14 into a fast car ... I predict in a 1200, you'd go with a stock A14 from about 14 seconds 0-100 kph to about 12 seconds (a12 is about 16 seconds) ... still slow by modern standards where minivans do the same in 8-10 seconds.

To make it fast, you'll need to do more than just replace the manifold and carbs.
