Hello, I've just subscribed to this group. I own 2 datsun 1000's (B10's), one coupe and one wagon . I know they aren't 1200's but they are quite similar. The main difference is that the
B10's have leaf spring FRONT suspension, instead of struts like a 1200. I have previously owned a 1600 (510), but my new toy is a 1000 coupe. It currently has an A10 (988cc) engine and drums all round. I plan on fitting some disk brakes to the front, getting a 5 speed, and an A15 (and an engineers certificate). I have a few questions, and I'm after some parts so i'm sure you'll hear from me again soon. James Empson. Syndey, AU

Welcome James - it's great to have someone with the 1200's old man as a ride. We love our heritage!
There are a lot of knowledgeable members in this club who can offer great advice re: engine and suspension mods. There is even one who has tips on using your 1200 to cook food and refloat sunken boats. Ask away!

hi,
welcome. Thats one wild coupe your building there, my 1000 coupe has an A12 in it and is a lot of fun to drive. There's a couple of pics of it in the Members's Datsuns 1200 photo album, and a bit of info at www.geocities.com/lumix6. Have fun. Chris

Hey there, always good to see a new 1000 owner,
I own a 1000 4 door sedan and a ute. The sedan runs an A14, but is currently off the road, for a few more mods:Discs, better carbs,5 speed and lastly a new diff. If you need any info i'd be happy to help. kue1000 (kueball@perthmail.com You can view topic.
