i want to know if the fly wheel needs to be calibrated after the instalation.

because im gonna change the fly wheel, and i dont know if is really necessary.

i was wondering the same. i am installing a new motor on thursday, does it have to be balanced? is getting it lightened worth it?

i don't think it would. it should have been made perfectly weighted and should stay this way regardless of what engine it is on or what car it is in etc...

of course it needs to be balanced. the shop should balance it after they shave off material and if you wanna get real fancy have them mount the clutch disc and pressure plate and balance it that way

but the flywheel im gonna install in the a14 is the a12 stock fly wheel , not shaved.

my car is a 120y with 56a dogleg, and im gonna install the a14 from a 120y asweel. im gonna have this problem?
