just wanting opinions on a brake upgrade for 1200 ute with drums on the front. I've heard 120y struts bolt stright in, and that struts off 310 sunny's also fit?? Do both just bolt in or is some modifying needed?? what other parts along with master cylinder and front brake lines are needed?? And whats the deal with wear on old struts etc, do these get worn out/stressed over time, or if the calipers, pads, bushes etc are done are they as good as new??

This has been covered a number of times. A search of the site should answer all your questions. In regard to strut leg wear, provided they haven't been bent in accident and all the welds look good they should give you many years of reliable service.
