Who has the most powerfull boosted A-series?
dog160

Alright people, the turbo A-14 is nearing completion, and I am interested in what other people are getting out of their boosted A series. I don't care if it is a 1200, a 1400, or 1500, just has to be an A series. No bullshit that it can beat your mates 300kw Monaro, so it must have more, or that it used to have about blah, then I but a bigger turbo so it must have x hp now. Only dyno PROVEN (not you mates GTR's sheet!) links or pictures. C'mon people, I want to know how much they can get!!

1200rallycar's twin turbo A15 made around 103hp. But it was still a work in progress at that time. (crappy exhaust, injectors maxing out at 4000rpms etc)
I've never dyno'd mine, so I don't have a figure for it.

Dodgeman,
the more you get to know dog160, the funnier it gets - he is yet to let fear, commensence or empathy for anything mechanical get in his way The turbo setup is looking good and we are all interested to see the result - especially next to him at the track! Cheers

So what's the plan? To stay off to the side of him & in front [or well to the rear] to avoid shrapnell damage? LOL.
I wish him well because he now runs a Datsun, but I wish you good fortune, because you share the same piece of track.

I'll be able to post a dyno graph shortly, need to go as the tune is pretty blunt at the moment. Will unleash a few more hp and improve ecconomy a tad.
very fast little ute at present. A14 20thou low comp ET pistons , big cam etc. A series factory injection manifold bigger throttle body 4 coil optical trigger ignition T25 (SR20) on custom low mount manifold S14 intercooler (small but does the job for the power it makes and keeps engine response to a maximum). 3 inch mandrel bent exhaust from turbo back EMS computer Should get around 150 or so rwhp without much fuss.

Take Wakefield for example.
Let said "turbo car" pass coming onto the main straight. Follow said turbo car down the straight until it should let go by say Pit wall at high RPM and boost changing from 3rd to 4th. Dodgeman, I would take cover at his point as you can usually be found on Pit wall. simply repass and cruise by the rapidly decelerating turbo car. The End Actually Im sure Dog160's car will be a great performer and will be developed into quite the rocket.

Ah Benny, thou should not cast the first stone..... I am confident that there will be no "ratio issues" nor "brake bias" issues or even "fuel pressure" issues for the turbo
. Just remember Benny, their was a Gemini that had no brakes or handling, that could still pull you down the straight!!! You can view topic.
