hey i was just wondering if anyone has set up a 4 link with coil overs in a 1200 ute? Im trying to work out how to mount my hilux diff. Any input is apreciated.

Dattodude, you should post more more photos of your 4 bar rear....it did win best engineering in the Datnats.
I wonder how good it does on the track....
John Taylor rear leaf setup is just awesome some in my books its alot of work for maybe little gain especially on the street, but I would stand corrected.

I bought the coilovers on sale for $450 and paid $880 for installion/construction of the 4 link including all the bushes, bolts and the links. Didn't do any of the work myself

heres a shot under my brother 1600 with the 4 link setup.

We are currently doing this type of conversion to a datsun 1000!

thanks heaps guys. Hey 1200ute do you have any other pics of the rear triangle bars or could you explain them a bit. thanks mate. btw im setting up a hilux diff in a 1200 ute pushing about 350rwhp and its going to see most of its life on the drag strip.

Sorry mate I don't have any more pics. The top links are triangulated so that there is no need for a panhard rod. They are setup that way to stop the side-to-side movement. The triangulated setup move straight up and down compared to the panhard rod setup which moves in a slight arc.

You need to run it with a front member.

A tube of 4130 just behind the cab to mount it to.

It really doesnt need to be done buy a chassis builder because if you dont get it all strait it wont launch right ect ect ect.
