#1 LAST WEBER QUESTION
MisterCarey Posted on: 2006/8/24 18:16
okay, so i'm finally biting the bullet and am gonna get a weber 32/36 DGEV carb and air cleaner for my 1980 B310 (it's too good a deal to pass up).

my only concern was that this carb was used on a toyota truck; i know i'll need a datsun adapter which i can get, but is it simply a matter of re-tuning it to my engine, or is there anything else i'd have to do?

BUMP

also, this is another carb that's looking to be a good deal; they say it was on a jeep, but if i got the adapter plate, would it work fine on my A14 b310?

32/36 weber on ebay

thanks guys!

i had to make an adaptor because none of the part #'s were right.

It's since been thrown out.

I recommend buying a NEW carb, because overhauls tend to not be 100% repaired and if the carb had leaks of sticky parts that didn't affect the proper engine, they may make the little engine run weird.

I know all about weber troubles.

want a jetting kit cheap?

I have three (four actually) 32/36 webers. Two that are matched from a 240Z car and another I picked up at a local wrecking yard off of a toyota.
I would let the single go relatively cheap. Plus after I install the sidedraft on my car I will have another with an adapter.

Let me know, Plus Im some/what local to you

Yes it will need to be rejetted.

Which really needs to be done on a dyno because of the whole air bleeds ect.

wow thanks for the replies, guys.

bluemax, i'll PM you about the carb...will it need to be rejetted? if that's the case, i might pm b210sleeper.

my tentative plan now, though, is to rebuild the stock carb and see what my mileage is etc., and if it needs any major repair / replacement; if i need a new carb, i'll definately be upgrading.
