#1 clutch cable advice
ddienes Posted on: 2006/10/1 8:26
The clutch cable snap where the adjustments are made in the engine bay in my 1000.

Do I need to order a custom part from nissan or are they generic cables?

Is there anything I should know before atempting to replace the cable?

Is they're an article out line how to make ajustments correctly?

Thanks

You might have to drop the gearbox to fit the hook over the gearbox end of the clutch cable - particuarly if you run a 60series (smooth case) gearbox.

And you will probably have to go to the wreckers or Nissan for the part - I haven't heard of generic cables.

Hi I had a look but I don't have any spare ones. They are rare as in wrecking yards and only a 1000 one will do. however if you still have both end remove the outer and take it all to PBR (Power Brakes) @ Norwood and they can replace the inner cable as i explained with the handbrake cable. This will be your easiest option as i already spent to long searching for my last one.
