Finally after much pain and suffereing I have got the hubs made for my brake kits
I have emailed or spoken with the people who expressed interest in the past and am waiting replies to see how many people want them At this point in time I am still waiting on 2 people to confirm their intentions So at this point in time I have enough components to put together kits for 2 cars I am getting more brackets laser cut soon so I can supply enough for another 5 cars I have just fitted up the first set from this batch to my wagon and run the car over the pits as I got a yellow sticker on it and it passed first time. The guy commented on the brakes but didn't mention anything about brakes tests or engineering and he liked the way it stopped. Kits will only be available complete and won't be sold piece by piece as in the past.So please don't ask for hubs and brackets only at this stage. So what you get in the kit are these basic components (your only additional options are better discs , pads ,braided hoses. For coupe owners you won't need the additonal pipes -$30 from the kit cost) Hubs are K1050 steel and are a machined finish. Brackets are laser cut from 10mm steel plate and are "natural" finish You could plate these items if you really wanted to I guess. Discs x 2 (RDA brand) Pads (Bendix GCT) Hubs x 2 Brackets x 2 Master cylinder + pushrod Brake pipes, joiner, blanking plug Front rubber hoses x 2 Bolt kit Rear wheel cylinders x 2 Rear rubber brake hose (might as well do it while your under there) Front wheel bearings x 2 Caliper kits to overhaul calipers (you still need to supply these - off KC laser) You'll also need to get yourself 500ml of brake fluid Cost $ 976 plus post (ex Perth) If you want slotted discs add $75 If you want Bendix Ultimate pads add $55 If you want braided stainless hoses add $100 email me at dattoman_1000@yahoo.com.au if your interested Neil

I bought one of these kits a while back & was amazed at the quality of the specially made parts. The laser cut caliper mounting bracket is superb & the finish of the CNC machined hub needs to be seen to be appreciated.
Sadly, the photo doesn't do it justice but the hub with new rotor attached will give some idea. Remember the rotor is covered in shrink wrap, so it looks a bit funny in the picture. If you have a B10 that needs discs & are unable to engineer them for yourself, then this kit is just the ticket. Thanks Neil for simply creating the kit. I love it. ![]() This is a link to a picture of the caliper mounting bracket

Once the pads & rotors are properly bedded in, it will stop even better. The smaller bore coupe rear wheel cylinders actually reduce the braking effort of the back brakes. This is because the discs are a non servo brake type [they don't assist themselves to apply, like the drum brakes did] so more line pressure is needed to apply them.
This extra pressure was leading to undesirable rear wheel lockup under some conditions, like in the wet, in 1200 coupes, which were the first of the small Datsuns in Australia to get discs. Under ideal conditions, the front wheels will lock just before the rears. Well, thats the plan.
