2dr sedan is rare, probably well worth the investment, especially if you can get her back to her former glory.

Made until 1970-1973 with that grill.
1979 is wrong. Looks like a good deal if there is truely no rust.

Could someone show me a comparison picture of the coupe and a 2dr sedan please? And after 1973 what did the car look like any pics please?
So now if want to make this a rally car(or the like) would it be good choice? And finally could someone link me to another place that sells 1200 and other Datsuns in California? Thank you.

Classic Datsun Motosports raced a 1200 coupe for a while , they are in Southern California. You'll find most places have played with 510's and Z's but very few have 1200 knowledge. Dave Turner in San Diego (not Dave Turner in Temcula) used to know 1200 stuff but I don't know if anyone still there does.
Don't know if your local but if you are in SoCal and planning to Rally with CRS (California Rally Series) the stages are rough even the gravel ones we have here in Vegas will always have some wash outs or huge rocks. $550 is a good price for a 1200 as they are getting tough to find.........the $150 beaters are long gone. I would pick a sedan over a coupe for Rally as a sedan offers more room in a roll over. For CRS Rules a 1.2 liter car is a big disadvantage as the class limit is 2 liters. Just remember it's cheaper to buy a Rally Car than build one. Tom Tom

Do you have a link to those sites you listed? I would not mind owning a 510 coupe or something but yeah. And I was told by a few people that Proto sell cars with bent frames and such that costly to repair dont know how true that is? So where else in so cal would I look for a Datsun?
And I was told there a 2dr sedan and then there is a coupe? What is the difference and which is better? And I dont really want to rally race just, go on a rally track or something for fun, like how people 4x4 for fun you know. You can view topic.
