URGENT URGENT

Now that I have everybodys attention
. I am new to this site. My problem is I picked up a little 130 class hydroplane and its running a datsun engine. I have no idea what it is the only numbers i can find on the engine areengine# 12 408840 and another 21118345 carb# dch306-105/4201h If any one can help me out it would be great I need to get this thing in the water before labor day.. Thanks Dan Also can I get parts (aluminum flywheel, better carb ect..) Thanks again.

Taking a photo and linking to a post would make it easier.
You sure there's not an "A" before the 12xxxxx number. Is it twin cam, single cam? Overhead cam or overhead valve. Where is the distributor located on the engine?

With the 12 in the part number it sounds like an A12 but it could be an early or a late one, is the dizzy near no 1 plug or no 3?

The DCH306-105 carburetor is from 1980 B310 ("Datsun 210") with A12A engine, FEDERAL (48-state) emissions.
The engine number should have "A12A" stamped -- if it is the same engine that the carb originally came from. You can view topic.
