Most of us use a factory distributor. EFI works quite well with it.

When you say factory distrubutor, you mean points and condenser still, where do you get your pickup for your timing, Off the front pulley??? Im planning to run EFI on a custom manifold i made with a ECU from dicktator, turbo aswell but i want to run a wasted spark setup with a coil pack from a discovery 4, but am still needing help on how to get my signal to the pack, box clues?

You can either you a factory electronic dizzy (bluebird) to run your spark - or you could make use of the distributor to get your signal with a hall effect sensor or something to run to your ECU...

A mate of mine froim the DOCNZ is running full CA18DET managment on his Z18ET. He has adapted the CA18 CAS to the Z dizzy.
The kicker is, he had to disassemble the CAS and invert the disc, because the CAS, and the dizzy spin opposite directions. It would only run on two untill someone figured this out. Not a real big job to fit a CAS to a dizzy.

I use a toyota 4AGZE crank angle unit machined down to fit, with the datsun gear on the end. also used 4AGZE wasted spark coils, all controlled by an M4 MOTEC. installed 6 years ago and havn't touched it since. highly recomend it...

Could you tell me what the electronic distrubutor will cost there by you? Have you perhaps got a name of the company for me, i would like to buy one, or have it shipped to me, can you buy just the loose components to convert mine to electronic, do you need a TP module for it?
