Well after finnaly sealing my new windscreen seal, its time to put the chrome trim on.
Whats the trick to flicking the rubber over the chrome the whole way down the window? I can get 1/2 the side on by sliding it up but cant get the rest to flick over. i kind of need a pick tool with a very small and direct 180 on the end of it. I tried making something like that to no avail! Cheers guys!

Old toothbrush handle sharpened to be a blunt chisel and plenty of soapy water.

When i got the new screen fitted to the KB10,there was a bit of a hold up as the only guy they had with experiance (see old like me)had 2 days old car work pre booked. When he arrived he fitted the chrome in the rubber first before fitting the screen.Screen was convential with rope etc.but also used thin plastic coated wire under the chrome(about 2-3mm) at the same time with lots of slip applied.Took about 45 minutes.I was glad i did'nt attempt it cos i would of bent the crap out of the chrome and stuffed it up.Pay the pro's i say.Cheers

I have recently had my F & R windscreens refitted with the stainless trims. I mounted the rubber to the glass then put the trims on. Only then did I put the screens in the car.

I agree put the rubber on the screen then stainless trim into the rubber and then fit to car. Boy gonna be a big job once the rubber is fitted to car to put trim back without bending it good luck

Yay looks like i did it the wrong way around
All well, i might try the rope trick.. just like when you install the windscreen but with thinner rope (fishing line even?) under the chrome. Cheers guys! You can view topic.
