:edit Hey 120fly could you make me an insert to suit the triple guages if I send you a template of the bracket? It would look cooler if the fuel, oil pressure and water temp had a similar surround to the other two guages

Hey 120fly, you should make a Carbon or Fibreglass insert to suit the std 1200 dash, with a cut out for a Din CD player. I'd be keen!

have you thought about using a quad guage unit instead of the three way cluster??

there are some nice looking ones, that yopu go straight into that hole, with four guages instead of the three you have and it would look like factory.

looks good though.

I am doing something similar to my 1k, but i dont have a dash that i can chuck stuff into like that. Ill post some pics once i decided what I am doing.

classic instruments

this site has some of the 4 way guages. I am thinking that I will go with this set.

opinions??

Oh yeah, do you really need a boost guage in a street car or are the really just for show.

The VDO speedo was about $250 i think
The VDO tacho about $150
The AutoGAGE (cheaper Autometer) water temp and oil pressure $90pr these are the only 41mm miniguages i could find
The fuel guage $50

All senders to suit as well
speed sender $100
fuel sender $50

would depend on how comfortable you are with the supporting bits that regulate the boost for keeping at its factory setting ... if you plan on fiddling with the boost levels then i'd be using one ... also get to see if there are any major spikes while giving the car a flogging
