its a 71 datsun 1200 ute

reverse light wires

where do they connect to loom???
i have wires off box
wires to lights
just need location where wires go to loom from box??

low beam problems

i have hi beam
parkers
indicators
all working

prob 1 reverse light
prob 2 no low beam
prob 3 parkers go on when reds are on
prob 4 fuel guage not working
prob 5 how to connect wipper motor

prob 7 how to connect horn

before answer put prob number

help off some1 thats done any of this before will be much appreciated

Check your earths ? There may be a main earth off some where like under the dash. The plug should be there though in the loom for the wiper motor and horn.

i post questions up not only to find out things off people with experiance but for other people restoring or modding a datsun 1200 to look as they may be problems people face when building a car THEMSELF at a later stage

all engine bay has good earth
from original(2wire) conection
and i added earths from chassis to engine and chassis to body and they all connect
so plent earth in engine bay
not sure bout in cabin

Your problem demo is you wont do anything for yourself.

The dash is small look under all of it. Its an earth you can expect it to be black.

i'd start tracing wires by utilising your service manual.

you should have a ribbon wire, IE about 5 or 6 wires running along the top of the firewall from the drivers to passengers side. thats for your wipers.

reverse is the same thing, 2 bullet head ended wires running into the trans tunnel form the engine bay.

have you pulled the light knob out both clicks?
you push the indicator stalk towards the engine bay to get high beam and pull back for headlights.

got some photos of problem areas?

did you get this car qwithout a loom or what?

that wire didnt exist so 1ce again he makes up stuff just to get involved

i have done everything myself ground up
so i dont have any problem at all
