Car will not start

Hey tried to start my ute this morning and it just did not start.
It turned ova and all (until I drained my battery). I had a closer look and it seems that there is no petrol getting to the carbie, so a bit buggered. Also I replaced the fuel pump about a month ago. Makes it worse when I was in a hurry this morning and had to be somewhere. Any Cheers Domenic

What kind of ignition?... Electric? points?.... ist he starter motor making any funny noisies? and burnt smell?... If you have the mechnical pump in still and blocked up just hook that up quickly and that will give you a answer on the pump.

Hey I still have points and a mechanical fuel pump. When I first opened up the engine bay it did smell like something was burning but could not find where it was coming from.
I recharged the battery and tried again but no thing

sound ezy mate if theres no fule getting to the carbie its one of the following
1 your tank has no fule 2 your fule line is blocked 3 the fule pump is NOT working take the fule hose off at the carbie , turn the car over ( if macanical pump ) or untill the elicrick pump starts there should be a strong flow of fule hope this helps

Hey just went out and disconnected the hose into the carbie and turned the car ova and there was no fuel coming out. There is a quarter of a tank of petrol in the car, so now I am assuming the fuel pump is stuffed, just further checked and the fuel pump is leaking a bit of oil from one of the seals or something. Could that be any thing?
Also now what type of electric fuel pump is the best if I have to change it .

do you have a standard a12 ?
if you want a elctric pump and you have a starndard a12 realy any pump would be ok as there arnt to manny cars wit elctric pumps wit smaller motors than yous . so go down to super cheap and there cheap pumps are around $100 . but i like the manule pumps as they run nice and quiet my 2 cents You can view topic.
