commodore into 1200

is it possible to fit commodore struts in a 1200 so you have commodore stud pattern ect

I doubt it.
This is what I have done- http://datsun1200.com/modules/myalbum/photo.php?lid=14142 120Y Struts with custom hubs with the desired pattern, and use S13 Silvia/180 brakes. SR20DET ones are slightly bigger than the CA18 type. If you do a search you will find there is a bracket you can buy to bold the calipers to the 120Y strut. Kevin Rowley sell them. champ i got stanza shortned struts custom made coilover set up and camber plates with holden hub their universal . . kinda lol but they fit strait on just need vn vp hub...
