bits needed for my a14 into 1000 conversion

in need of a datsun 1200 clutch cable and a 1200 accelerator cable (need one with the little ball bit on the end
anyone got spares, name your proce (be nice!)

Leigh, are you using a 1200's 56 series gearbox, or a later 56A or 60 series one.
The 1200 clutch cable is different where it fits into the gearbox. The hole where it fits is smaller in the 1200, so the cast fitting on the cable is smaller also. The 120Y & Sunny used the larger fitting & the 120Y cable will suit your needs if you are using a 56A or 60 series trans.

theres a place in flemington next to gt suspension that make cables, cheap too. cost me $14 for a custom length accel cable new when i went sus.
im sure they could do for you if you had the lengths you needed

you also may need the bracket that goes at the firewall end of the clutch cable? The thouee firewall has a short welded sleeve, 12's have the pressed metal unit that attaches with three phillips head screws. This helps make it all work properly.

I have the original unit from my wagon, when i converted it the L20b. It comes with a 1200 coupe shell attached...

cool, if i have to get one made up then it doesn't sound too expensive. pigdog, let me know if you find anything, wagon1200 i'm keen if you let them go without that shell...
