Wanted: Parts for 1200 Coupe - Alternator and Control Box regulator thing

Hi All,
I am chasing some bits for my 1971 1200 coupe with A15. The first thing I think is some kind of control box, my partner tells me that among other things, it regulates the amount of charge going through the alternator to the battery. The is a relay inside that has a burnt out coil, so I am just looking to replace the whole box. I think due to the control box not doing its job. The motor is an A15 so just any alternator that will fit and do the job. I am located on the Gold Coast but could probably travel up to Brisbane/Sunshine Coast/Toowoomba to pick up the parts. Hoping someone can help me out! Thanks, Charlotte

Got the regulator that is pictured. 2nd hand out of my coupe. Removed when done CA conversion. Condition unknown but assume it's OK car done 21 000 miles
In WA though, but would post However you could update to a newer alternator with a inbuilt regulator

yeah mate, im sure i have a spare alternator laying around here. up near hyperdome if you care for a drive up this way. dont have the other bit though

pepper - if you are sure you have a working alternator, easy enough to come and pick it up. How much do you want for it?

it came off my a12 when i ripped it out of the ute, so its a goer.
ill dig it up tomorrow arvo when i get in from work.

i just dug up my second alternator, it appears to be slightly different to my a12 one.
the plug is the same but it has a plastic doover on the back to house some extra stuff, and is slightly bigger. ill try to take a pic, but does it sound like the one your after?

Thanks for checking it out - sounds good to me - are you able to take a photo just to make sure?

Charlotte sorry for not getting back to you but I have not been able to find the regulator. It aint where I thought it was in the shed.
